Puffer Teams Up with Merkl for $PUFFER Season 2

In advance of the highly anticipated launch of Season 2, we are delighted to announce our partnership with leading incentive distribution platform Merkl, as part of our effort to ensure a seamless, secure and scalable rewards distribution process.
Merkl is the leading reward and incentivization platform backed by a16z, designed to optimize liquidity incentives by bridging incentive providers and farmers — allowing incentive providers to target and incentivize specific behaviors. Since July 2023, Merkl has managed to distribute $80 million in rewards across over 10 thousand campaigns, and counting!
Driving Transparency & Long-term Engagement
As we’ll be unveiling soon, the updated Season 2 of airdrop is all about driving transparency, community governance, and ensuring no points are diluted, and we’ll be expanding the airdrop to those contributing across LRT, Puffer UniFi and UniFi AVS. Based on this expansion, Merkl’s infrastructure will provide the necessary rails to track and deliver incentives fairly, while supporting our structured rewards framework geared towards encouraging active participation and deeper levels of engagement. Additionally, Merkl charges a 1% fee on each rewards epoch.
Merkl offers tools to customize reward distribution, which will be instrumental in our upcoming updated Season 2, giving us the bandwidth to tailor how rewards are allocated, strategically shape liquidity and encourage specific user behaviors. For instance, we will be implementing reward structures that prioritize participants who maintain active, concentrated liquidity positions over time, ensuring that the incentives align with Puffer’s broader goals. With this unprecedented level of customization, we can execute a more efficient and effective distribution process. Additionally, Merkl’s transparency features enhance trust by providing participants with clear, accessible data on how rewards are calculated and distributed.
